Hallo,
ich muss mir demnächst einen neuen laptop zulegen.
Meistens ist dann aber schon win 8 dabei.
Soll ich noch win 7 organisieren oder plant ihr in absehbarer Zeit auch eine Anpassung.

Hallo Alf,
aktuell gibts noch keinerlei Erfahrungen zu Windows 8.
Da kommt natürlich eine Anpassung aber ich habe noch keinen Termin dazu. Erfahrungsgemäs gibts aber wenig umzustellen. Evtl. machen Treiber für einen evtl. vorhandenen USB/seriell-Adapter Probleme bzw. Treiber für Kettlergeräte oder Tacx. Möglicherweise muß auch am Installationsskript (das das setup.exe generiert) noch was angepasst werden.
Es kann aber gut sein, daß es auch direkt funktioniert. Ich werde hier berichten, sobald ich neue Erkenntnisse habe, bzw. ein anderer testfreudiger User ;) :?:

also ich kann schonmal was zu Windows 8 Erfahrungen sagen (64 bit) - ich verwende die jetzige aktuellste MTB Version in Kombi mit einem Acer W700 Tablet.
Ich habe den Sim ohne Problem installiert bekommen - lediglich der VLC macht halt immer wieder zicken... läuft nun aber - was aber seltsam ist, deswegen kann ich das Teil so noch nicht verwenden:

sobald ich eine Tour starte am Sim , bricht bereits nach ein paar Minuten die Interface Verbindung zum USB - Kettler E5 zusammen -
was heisst, dass die Schnittstelle wohl einen kurzen unterbrecher bekommt. Das Ganze ist schlecht nachvollziehbar.
Evtl. hängt es damit zusammen, dass der Tablet PC nur eine einzige USB Schnittstelle hat und ich mit einem usB mehrfachverteiler auf die beiden
geräte gehe (Tastatur + Ergometer),

wäre nett, wenn noch jemand anders seine erfahrungen postet mit Windows 8 ...

Hallo Stefan,
schick mir doch mal die Logdatei (mtbsimulator.log) zu. Evtl. kommen wir dann dem Problem auf die Spur.
Ich habe eine Win-8 Installation (32 Bit), die läuft problemlos. Allerdings bisher nur mit LAN-Anschluß zum Daum P8i getestet.

Edit: Vielleicht ist es ein Treiberproblem. Es gibt von Silabs ein neues Treiberpaket. Bitte installiere folgenden Treiber, der ist nun auch für Win-8 (32 und 64 Bit) freigegeben.


Ich werde den Treiber ins Setup für den Update 3.11 aufnehmen.

...so ich habe das Ganze nun nochmal treibermässig aktualisert, mit dem neuesten ERgo - USB Treiber - wir so auch in der Systemsteuerung angezeigt.
leider ohne Erflog:

Die USB Schnitttelle, bricht nach ca. 3 Minuten "Fahrt" zusammen - Fehlermeldung in der Taskleiste, dass ein USB Gerät nicht erkannt wurde.

Am Anfang ist alles wunderbar, der ERgo wird an Com Port 16erkannt.
Wie bereits erwähnt, habe ich das abgesetzte key-pad an der selben usb Schnittstelle über einen USB Verteiler, wo auch der ERgo - Usb angeschlossen ist.

Im Anhang nochmal die neueste Log - auf Basis o.g. Fehlers...

Hallo Stefan,
ist das ein USB-Hub mit extra Stromversorgung?
Falls nicht, kann das die Ursache sein, daß der den benötigten Strom nicht liefert.
